Happy 1st Birthday to one of the cutest little boys, Baby Zion! This shoot was especially dear to me.  I have known the mother, Salina, for almost a decade.  We became friends after photographing the her senior portraits.

Salina, thank you for asking me to capture your son’s 1st birthday.  I loved the idea of an outdoor cake smashing session.  And even though the shoot did not turn out exactly how we envisioned, we made it work!  We realized shortly after beginning the session that it was a little too breezy for Zion to enjoy his first cake tasting experience outdoors.  So, we made our way inside.

Salina and Zack, I wish you and your family a lifetime of joy.  I look forward to our next encounter and watching baby Zion grow.
